Amar Sagar & Lodurva

Amar Sagar & Lodurva today is an ancient township that is in now ruins. Amar Sagar is a small and beautiful lake cum Oasis and is next to a 17th Century palace called the Amar Singh Palace. These are the famous Jain Temples. Lodurva was initially the capital of the Bhattis Rajputs, even before the time the Jaisalmer Fort was built in the 1156.


Bada Bagh

Bada Bagh, which literally means 'Big Garden' is located on the Ramgarh road. It was commissioned by Maharawal Jait Singh in the early 16th century and completed by his son Lunakaran after his death. The site has three different things to watch, a garden, a tank and a dam. In the vicinity itself you will find Govardhan Stambh pillar.


Jaisalmer War Museum

The Jaisalmer War Museum hosts war exhibits from operations carried out by the Indian Army between 1965 and 1971. There is an Audio-Visual room, two large display halls featuring vehicles and military equipments. The Jaisalmer War Museum is located on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Highway only 10 km outside Jaisalmer.


Akal Wood Fossil Park

The Wood Fossil Park located near Jaisalmer, also known as the Akal Fossil Park, is an area of prime geological importance, as much as it is a major spot of tourist attraction.


Kuldhara Abandoned Village

Kuldhara is an abandoned village in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, India. Established around 13th century, it was once a prosperous village inhabited by Paliwal Brahmins. It was abandoned by the early 19th century for unknown reasons, possibly because of dwindling water supply.
